Currently Director of the Varsity Offshore Sailing Team at the US Naval Academy (10 years) In charge of training midshipmen in leadership and teamwork using the medium of offshore racing.  

 

Second largest varsity sports team at Navy. 

 

Serves as both varsity sport and professional development program. Only sports team with this status

 

Graduates move directly on to military career as commissioned officers in aviation, surface warfare, Marine Corps, Nuclear Submarines, Special Forces even Medical Corps communities.

 

Most team alumni cite their experience and life skills developed while on the team as the most valuable received during their 4 years at the Academy.

 

1993-2005 Owner/founder of J World Annapolis, a nationally top rated adult sail training program based in Annapolis, MD. Developed and produced corporate team-building program using experiential learning aboard boats.  Clients include Northrop Grumman, Microsoft, Pfizer, The World Bank and many others.
