Ayana Zaire is a 22 year old artist and freelance creative director currently working on Distrikt, a bi-annual print publication showcasing the art, style, and culture of the young creative community in the DC metro area. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Innovation, Design, and Society, a major Ayana created to tailor her academic studies to her passions. When she isn't working on Distrikt Ayana Zaire is serving as the Offline Community Manager for A Creative DC, the Digital Marketing Associate for Decent Workshop, the host at Maketto, and researching Parliament Funkadelic, afrofuturism, and theories in political philosophy.
